Our office is convenietly located near the corner of University and Indian School Rd. We are just minutes from UNM, I-40 and I-25. We have been located here since 1991.

Our mission at the Albuquerque Neck and Back Pain Center is to provide high-quality care to people of all ages. We strive to correct a person's health problems, as well as educate and coach them, so that they do not encounter similar problems in the future.

Christopher Cecil, DC, DABCO

Dr. Cecil graduated from the National University of Health Science (in the Chicago area) with a doctorate in Chiropractic in 1988. Dr. Cecil has a Bachelor of Science degree and is a Board Certified Chiropractic Orthopedist. He has advanced certifications in the diagnosis and treatment of Whiplash-related disorders from the prestigious Spinal Research Institute of San Diego and has been practicing in the Albuquerque area for over fourteen years.

Dr. Cecil has been interested in health and Chiropractic since he was a child as both his father and older brother are Chiropractors. He practiced in the Chicago area for two years before moving to Albuquerque to get away from the cold and snow. He has taken many seminars and postgraduate courses since his graduation from Chiropractic School in 1988, including the extensive study of whiplash disorders at the Spine Research Institue of San Diego. Dr. Cecil performed many clinical rounds and attended classes at the University of Moscow Medical School and currently instructs for the University of New Mexico Medical School post graduate department on myofascial pain disorders.

Dr. Cecil takes a multidisciplinary approach in his treatment of patients. He first diagnoses the problem then determines whether the condition will respond to Chiropractic and/or manual therapy treatment. If he determines the problem will not improve with Chiropractic care, he will refer the patient to the appropriate doctor so that the condition can be corrected as quickly as possible.

Our Staff:

DeDe Von Kleist - Therapist and X-ray Technician - Has been working in Chiropractic offices for over 16 years and has been an X-ray tech for over 18 years. DeDe is excellent at what she does and is very outgoing.

Laura Martinez - Receptionist - Very people oriented, has a wonderful personality and is always happy to help you. Laura can make your day bright.

Massage Therapy/ Therapeutic Muscle Work - We have three massage therapists on staff that help Dr. Cecil with needed muscle work for injured patients.

We will directly bill your insurance plan to make it as convenient as possible for you.

Emergency / After hours information:

Our office is open for appointments from 8:00 to 6:00
Monday through Friday. Dr. Cecil can be reached after
hours or on the weekend if someone has been injured
due to a recent trauma or auto accident.
